"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

lonely

is it that love is perfectly within his reach, and he just has to grab it but hasn't yet...

...or is it that the love is unreachable, and he won't be able to?

of course, that is with the assumption that the heart represents love. i suppose it could mean something entirely different, although i have my doubts about that being the case given the fairly distinct symbolism used.

hmmm, good question, of course, it could just be a really big apple, and that he is really hungry...

that may have been the case...

...until you titled it.

the title lends itself to the poem meaning something a little more than just hunger. the idea of hunger works too though, significantly, because it IS in a tree that normally would hold FOOD...

...but it's not food he is hungry for, given the symbol. which led me to ask the questions above...

by "poem" i meant "drawing"

I had originally posted it without a title, but then i decided that the drawing was a good depiction of what loneliness feels like.

so then...

...does loneliness exist because we just don't reach out and grasp what can keep us from being lonely...

...or is it that those things that we think could keep us from loneliness are actually unreachable...so we have no choice but to experience loneliness...

very good question, the next time we sit in the cafe procrastinating on homework and enjoying a conversation way longer then we should, we'll have to ponder it. I kind of think both answers are true...

point of argument:

i dont think we have conversations in the caf for "way longer than we should."

in my opinion, they should be that long.

i get alot more out of those times then i do full day of classes...
