"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." 1 Peter 3:15

Fireworks!!!

I've had a lovely little vacation here with camp. well, granted working as a dean of a camp can't really be considered vacationing I guess, but it was an amazing time. God is teaching me so much, and I'm excited to learn so much more about ministry. I've barely got my feet wet.

Family camp was great. I love Bluewater. I've always wanted to work there, but God always seems to have different plans. anyway, I just got back from spending the fourth out at bluewater, and decided to see if I could post some video footage. Grand Rapids shoots off some pretty good fireworks. I probably should have waited for the grand finale, but I didn't

Cool fireworks, but you didn't get to see 20 little kids with sparklers! It was insane! Later we went up on the hill to that clearing and looked at the stars for a while. Fireworks are cool, but it's so much more awesome to see the display of God's power, glory, and "bigness" by looking at the sky.
Oh, by the way, LBBBC was great! You really did well as the dean.
Hey, I might not see you tomorrow...So have a great weekend and I'll see you Monday!

to get in on the shooting star conversation here:

i saw absolutely amazing shooting stars (and night sky, for that matter)while i was sleeping outside in Alberta...complete with a gorgeous backdrop of mountains and pine tree silhouettes...

i should probably write a descriptive peice about it on my blog soon

and i think a roadtrip to the mountains would be stellar!
